Anthony welcome 2

We are very please to announce

that Anthony Ho is our new

musician at St. John’s and St.

Luke’s!

Here he is, in his own words:

My name is Anthony Ho, and I was

born and raised in San Jose,

California. I began playing piano at

the age of six and studied privately

throughout my childhood and early

teenage years. My journey as a

church musician began in 2011

when I started playing during Mass

alongside my older brother,

learning the art of accompaniment

through shared ministry and experience.

I earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of California,

Santa Cruz, and have served as a pianist in Catholic churches throughout

the Bay Area for over a decade. During that time, I have accompanied

congregations, choirs, and soloists at various parishes in San Jose and

Fremont. I also served for two years as a pianist at St. Philip the Apostle

Episcopal Church in Scotts Valley under the leadership of Rev. Katherine

Doar. In addition to piano and organ, I also play a bit of bass guitar.

I enjoy a wide range of musical styles, including classical, sacred, and

contemporary worship music. What I value most about accompanying is

the opportunity to support others through music. Whether working with a

congregation, choir, or soloist, I appreciate the sense of connection that

develops when musicians and worshippers move together with a shared

purpose—it often feels like breathing together.Church music has always held a special place in my life because it allows

me to unite my passion for music with my faith. I am grateful for the

opportunity to serve as a pianist and organist and look forward to helping

lead worship through music. Outside of church, I enjoy spending time with

family and friends, playing video games, and volunteering in the

community.”
